The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign.  Pledges made by federal civilian, postal, and military donors during the campaign season (Sept 1 - Dec 15) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.  

The Denver Metro Area Combined Federal Campaign includes approximately 32,000 federal employees and military personnel.  It serves 17 counties:  Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Chaffee, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Eagle, Gilpin, Grand, Jefferson, Lake, Morgan, Park, Pitkin, Summit, and Washington Counties.

Is Your Favorite Charity Part of the CFC?

All participating charities must apply annually apply, meet the eligibility requirements, and be verified by the IRS as an organization in good standing in order to be part of the the CFC charity list.  Volunteers from the across the Denver federal agencies diligently screen the local charity applications for eligibility. 

2010 Application Season is March 2 - April 2  The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) provides application requirements for agencies to adhere to.  All applications must meet the federal regulation in accordance with 5 CFR Part 950 – Solicitation of Federal Civilian and Uniformed Personnel for Contributions to Private Voluntary Organizations, Federal Register, Volume 60, Number 226, and all subsequent OPM memorandums.

Military Family Support and Youth Activities (FSYA), also known as Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) organization application (An FSYA is an organization that operates on a military base for the benefit of the members of the military who work or live on that installation or day-care centers that are located in a Federal facility.)

 

Charity Orientation & Application Workshop

The Metro Denver Area Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is offering a campaign orientation and agency application workshop for the 2010 CFC campaign.  All human health and welfare federations and independent agencies are encouraged to attend to learn about this funding source, and instruction for submission of a complete and accurate application for inclusion in the campaign.  Agencies must submit an annual application which meets the eligibility criteria to be eligible to participate.  A representative for interested agencies is strongly encouraged to attend.  This representative should bring with them their agency’s most recent IRS 990 form, IRS determination letter, the agency’s audited financial statements.

Auditorium just inside Door W5

Directions:       6th Avenue to Kipling; South on Kipling

West at Gate 1 – Denver Federal Center

You must show the guard your Gov. ID or Driver’s License

Tell them you are going to Bldg 810 Auditorium for CFC

Phone Application Assistance

Application questions will be answered by phone daily from March 2, 2010 – April 2, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and in person every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Denver Federal Executive Board Office.  CFC personnel will be on hand at this time to help charities with their application and accept the submission of them. (Wednesdays in March only.)

 

Application Pre-Screen Opportunity

Applications received prior to March 19, 2010 will be pre-screened by the CFC administrative agency for completeness.  Applications will not be accepted via Fax or other means of electronic transfer. 

 

Application Deadline

The application deadline at 6:00 PM on April 2, 2010.  No exceptions!  Applications will be accepted by mail at the administrative agency corporate mailing address:
